Hello, My name is Jennifer Ferris and I offer mobile piano tuition to students located in and around Norwich. I have many years teaching experience, helping students from complete beginners upwards to learn how to play the piano.
I welcome students of all learning abilities, including complete beginners. Helping these students to learn the core skills of how to play the piano, giving them the confidence and ability to play the music that inspired them to start playing.
I have a lot of experience helping young students learn to play the piano, through fun and enjoyable lessons and would be delighted to help your child to play the piano as well. I can also teach adults, of all levels, to progress their piano playing as well.
My lessons will be built around you and what you want to learn and we will progress your playing through carefully planned lessons focused on your musical interests.

I'll help you learn through all types of music, particularly the music you enjoy whilst providing you with the knowledge you need to be able to play the piano with confidence.
My piano lessons are designed to fit your learning requirements and musical interests, whether that is focusing on learning the basics as a beginner student, or exploring more complex techniques as a more intermediate pianist. Whatever your goals I have the lessons to help you reach that next level on the piano.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

My background as a music teacher:
My lessons are tailored to the requirements of the individual, so if you would prefer to play for enjoyment, without preparing for examinations, that is absolutely fine. Your lesson can include anything from Coldplay to Chopin, drawing on the many different styles of music that you enjoy. Currently, I enter pupils for ABRSM examinations from grade 1 to 7 and have had fantastic success. One of my pupils even obtained a Distinction in her grade 7 piano exam.

My lessons are charged at £25 per hour or £20 per 45 minute lesson taught.
I am a mobile piano teacher, so will travel to you to provide piano lessons in the comfort of your own home. I have found that students learn well within the comfort of their own homes, helping my pupils build confidence as well as vocal strength and ability.
I teach students of all ages (4+). I believe that music should be for everyone, young learners and adults alike.
This is totally up to you. Lessons are tailored around the pupil's musical preferences. You can learn classical, jazz or pop music and can undertake to prepare for examinations or simply learn for enjoyment.
It's important to keep a regular pattern of lessons going, including through the school holidays, but of course there will be breaks here and there when you or I go away.
